There is angle along the length of it mate, its on the other side so can see it in pic well you can JUST see the edgeof it if you look carefully.

I now have cockeyed steering wheel.

However thanks to martin, im hoping to rectify that tomorrow! One job just leads to another aand another and another and another

Err well this came today.... ansa front silencer from a mk2 golf gti lol pictured along side the standard jimny backbox.





Basically i wanted to replace the jimny "box" with something that would give a bit sound, after hearing Jons it gave me more reason to do it although as this front box is straight through and a "performance" style box i wasnt sure if it was going to be TOO loud... Hmm yeh

Cut flange off the old box and welded onto the new one after cutting some of the pipework down

Bolted up




Because of the straightness of this box compared to the jimny one the hanger position kinda pulls it down a little instead of up but seems to work fine, used the tow bar bolt (extended) as a hanger.





This is for now where it exits, got a bit dark to finish it but tomorrow i will be using the original tailpipe off the jimny and making it exit in the original hole in bumper. maybe later i might weld a beafier pipe on the exit?





All the bits ive grinded down and the flange and welds will all be tidied up tomorrow aswell and whole lot sprayed matt black with high temp paint to finish it off.

HOWEVER its a bit loud :lol:




we will see how it goes, it was an experiment really but im not sure if i will keep it on ?? Hmmmmmm! will picture it again tomorrow and take a daylight vid LOL

I had a feeling it was gonna be loud but nevermind! Cost me £15 quid for the new ANSA silencer so all is not lost Saying that i will probably end up getting used to it
