Light Bar vs Driving Lights was created by 9800shane
New into the Jimny scene and I am currently adding all the extra's on to my new Jimny.

I do even amount of road and offroad driving so I am after a lighting solution and I could swing either way.

I have narrowed it down now to which is going to look better on my bullbar.

Let's post up some pics or your lighting setup??

I would be looking at a 20" light bar or LED driving lights.

A lightbar isn't legal for road use so you would be better off with driving lights.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Is it okay to have a lightbar wired through a separate switch so that you can use it when offroad do you know?

Theoretically no, but when was the last time you met a traffic officer on a green lane at night?

Technically no, it should be wired so it only comes on when the ignition is off, however I've never heard of anyone being prosecuted for it. As long as it doesn't come on with the main beams then it doesn't usually raise a comment. You can also get a ticket for not having 'E' marked lights.
All high level front lighting must be mounted forward of the front axle, that why its OK on a truck.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Got my LED light bar wired into the main beam. I had a look before I got it wired up and couldn't find any information that said you can't wire it into the main beam. I had mine done by a garage, and they didn't say it was illegal.
