Happy with my work today.

Was going to do it out in the sun but it was raining :angry:


This was under the shit shield.


So I hit it with my hammer. :)

Then I cleaned it up and primed it with Upol weld through zinc rich.

Made a cardboard template, then cut it out of 3mm metal and primed it.

And yep you got it I welded it in.

That's how mine was and had to be welded. That's the only welding mine's needed fortunately. My boot floor is rock solid thankfully!

Made a start on the top. making a good return.

Then plating the hole. Once welded I cleaned it up and primed.

I then seam sealed over the welds to stop any water laying around on it.

Then it was all primed and seam sealed. And it all had a good coat of hammerite hammered effect. :woohoo:

Thanks gaz it was something I had been meaning to do since I cut my bumper back late last year and saw it. It's well worth doing before it gets to bad.
