Yeah I tagged onto the switched power supply to my radio.

just curious as to whether anyone knows where most car temp sensors are actually fitted ?

how does the mirror assembly actually come to bits ?

;)

On the cars I've had they were either clipped into the bumper (Vauxhalls), behind the front bumper ( Vauxhalls again) on the wing mirror (Audi, renault, Dacia)

Take the trim off behind the mirror on the inside of the car and undo the 3x 10mm head nuts. Undo wiring, then I carefully lifted te rubber sealing boot out of the way and fitted the probe. I didn't dismantle the mirror any further.

How easy is it to see in that wee pocket?
That's the dilemma I have is where to put it if I buy a double din radio. I did think about modifying the ash tray opening to til the temp screen up. Yours Look like a neat install.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationSorry no pic but I fitted one of these

The problem in the Jimny is where to put it?
First I just stuck it on top of the dash which was great until it got too sunny and it wouldn't stick.( the blue display was a bit bright at night though)
I then tried it right at the bottom between the centre console and the tunnel but my wife kept knocking it with her bag when getting in??
Next position was down by the gear lever but it wasn't easy to see at a glance.
I then discovered the ideal place.
I loosened off the interior light and trapped the mounting foot between the light and headlining and tightened up the light and it works!
I ran the wire behind the passenger visor then down the inside of the trim edge and the dash edge and through the main harness grommet in the upper left footwell in to the engine bay and down on to the chassis.
The mounting foot might need super gluing as the weight can loosen the pivot.
The wire is 2.6 m long so it's quite flexible on where you position it.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
