Picked up my jimny accessories today, once the dust has been cleaned off they should look like new.

Love that load liner. It would look a lot cleaner in the back of mine if I had one of those.
Is it a proper Suzuki accessory?

New they are about £180 but they come up second hand on gumtree free ads ebay etc. Probably better to remove all the back seats and board over like Gus has done.

I had the day off today so after checking the weather forecast I decide to have a go at tackling the surface rust in the wheel arches. I managed to attack the front and rear driver side which took me nearly 6 hours.

I regularly jet wash underneath so there wasnt much dirt but I gave the surfaces a brush down then a wire brush down and a degrease ready for painting. I used Halfords zinc primer on the worse areas then applied the Hammerite Stone chip in Grey. The grey came out a bit darker than the cap showed, but it was quite a good match for the graphite Jimny. I prefer a lighter colour as its easier to see damage or cracks underneath.

The factory stone chip was still in good shape but there were plenty of areas without it.

While the rear wheel was off I investigated to exhaust knocking. The Tow-trust tow bars sits close to the to the rear sliencer and ocassionaly when theres enough movement it nocks. I did ask Tow-trust this before buying it but they hadnt heard of the issue. Dave form Bits4vits cut a V shape into his giving it clearance and stopping the knock.
Im not comfortable chopping bits off so I cured the knock by cable tying a ruber exhaust mount around it. I will get a metal tie as I think the heat from the exhaust might melt the plastic ones. if anyone else has the same problem its a quick fix.

I had to ditch the wheel locking nuts as the key for them had started to not fit poorly. It was fine when the tyre fitter used a pnematic tool but It would slip off when I used the breaker bar. Luckily the previous owner had kept the other wheel nuts.

Fantastic fix for the exhaust knock. Mine does exactly the same.

Why didn't I think of that!

Like you fozzie my cat is probably in need of replacing, a couple of hangers have rusted off and theres been more movement. I got a couple of exhaust clamps to secure it to the chasis.
