Uh oh
So I chopped the worst of it out but it just kept coming! So this happened!
Got the fuel tank out the way today and will work on that to bring it back to life in the garage, might use some of the aluminium plate to make a guard we shall see!
Gave it a bash of the grinder and a clean with degreaser
Then since I knew this was coming been following a company called Buzzweld, the products look fantastic and the owner is really passionate about them which makes the difference, decided to have a go with RCP Primer for the first coat.
2 coats of this stuff and your sorted, It's got rust inhibitors and it levels so well after one coat tonight it's super smooth!
Will be keying the rest of the rear chassis and getting this stuff on!

I've just acquired a 2000 Jimny with similar headlight rust to yours- how hard did you find it to cut out and patch there?
Also, is the RCP primer spray or brush on?

Statey wrote: Thanks all! Regards to the RCP I brushed it on but it can be roller'd (I may try this on the floor itself) and sprayed! If you spray it you need compressed air and a spray gun tho as they don't do it in a can (yet I can imagine there working on it!)

Thanks mate. Are you leaving it as the primer or doing a top coat too? What quantity do you reckon a Jimny needs?
