I used this plastic abrasive wheel from tool station it's an excellent bit of kit if your wheel is not too rusty it gives a good key for the paint as well. Also don't rush (as I usually do) do lots of thin coats and should be fine

Cheers, will look into that. I have some second hand Wellers that need a scrub up. I was going to wait until the Summer and sand blast them (will only be able to do it outside), but I might see what I can do in the mean time. Then I will slap on some POR15

Had a quick run through a couple of forest lanes today,
had great fun and managed to get a couple of quick pictures!

My usual camera setup is a Nikon D90, a few Nikon/Sigma lenses and a SB700.
Been thinking about upgrading the camera body, just cant justify the cost at the minute.

No other real updates, just getting on with the wheels and a lick of hammerite here and there.
Another picture just to keep it going...

Was thinking about a winch, but think I would rather spend the money on a holiday!

Can I pick the brains of a detailer? I have a 2008 Jimny with stunning paintwork that I want to keep that way but I also love the lanes. Anything I can apply to avoid damaging the paint work on the scratchy lanes?

Hi mate nice pics and nice work, Im selling my wheels at the moment of my low mileage jimjim i would of done you a really good deal if i new you were on the forum,but anyway i look forward to seeing your thread develop
