So starting from the beginning, was selling my last car, a 2010 Fabia vRS.
Great little car, twincharged making 180bhp standard, a right little hot hatch.
But time to move on, free up a little bit of money for my first house, and away it went in a private sale.

Enter the JIMNY!
Was looking for a little while to find what i wanted.
Eventually made the trip to scotland and picked up a late 2005 model, with 33k miles, full history etc.
Really wanted a silver one, but as soon as i saw the car in blue, I knew it was the one for me!
Here it is!

So first things first, I was mad into detailing from my last few cars, and thought i would follow a similar plan for the jimny.
Started with a snowfoam, wash, claybar, polish, sealant and wax, all round.
Same treatment for the wheels, glass and plastic trims.
Started a few small bits and bobs, to make it feel like it was mine!
New aero wipers,
New mats,
New tax disc holder,
LED Interior and numberplate bulbs.
And here we go!

I mentioned in my previous thread, that the front tyres were a bit low on tread.
The seller also gave me 2 new bridgestone duellers as part of the sale.
The rear was already changed and had 2 Brand New Hankook Dynapro ATm 205/70/15.
Happy with the performance and getting decent reviews, i decided to splash out and get a matching set up front.

New tyres and a little bit less shiny!
Now my paypal account has been in overdrive,
Ordered a few more bits and bobs, just to tidy up, nothing major... Yet!
New horn, New headlights, Wheel bolts etc.
Will update as I keep working on it!

I have to admit, there is a massive satisfaction in getting rid of the caked on mud aswell though!
So today i have been mucking about with this...
New Flip key!
Bought the casing and blade from eBay, and got the blank cut.
Easy as swapping over the internal unit, and it even has the decepticons logo on it! WIN!¬

eBay - Flip Key
Click above for the key i bought, Got to be honest though 11/60, was quite a bit of hassle to get the key to fit the ignition barrel, wouldn't fancy doing another one to be honest.

Oh how? can't think why unless the key was not cut right?

The body of the key, the plastic housing part, is to big to allow it to sit flush with the ignition barrel.
Needs alot of filing down and finishing off to make it work.

But on the plus side, i fitted a carpark ticket holder to the windscreen and popped out for a quick potter round a couple of lanes.

Bought a set from a guy in London.
He was moving to the south of France permanently and got a LHD set.
So one mans rubbish is another mans treasure.
I got rid of my crazed units, for a set that have covered only 500miles!
