Hey hey all,
I've been signed up on here for a while now but haven't actually posted a thread about my little Jimny yet. I've so far had 2 vitaras one was a 1.6 petrol which we converted into a pickup with various mods and the other was a diesel which had money poured into it making it fairly capable. After getting rid of that one i decided i wanted something new but with live axles. I loved the little Jimnys after going laning with Brett and Gary so decided this was the option to go with.
I was working on a budget knowing i would be ripping most parts off the car and found a nice gold Jimny for £500 or 600 i can't remember now haha. Fairly clean with spots of rust but nothing major. The 4wd wasn't working which after getting it home was as simple as a vacuum line broken to the hubs (Who needs auto locking hubs anyway manual is the way forward) So from here this is where the fun began.
As i got the car
I then decided to give it a good service which it needed badly. I also gave it a 1.5" bits4jimnys (vits) lift. Just to keep me going while i got all of the real suspension ordered. Little test
Personally i wasn't fond of the gold bling colour so for £20 i got some military paint and decided to roller brush the car. Spent a weekend sanding it down and making sure there was no grease or anything on the body then started the paint. 3 coats later and a bit of touching up she turned out ok. Added my usual pin up girl sticker (i always have a pin up girl on my 4x4's you'll notice)
When the paint was dry it was time to install mr sucky suck.. snorkel. This required a nice big hole as so...
Then the final product inc sealing the airbox and the drain hole.
For the moment under my dining room table is:
Lockrite locker
3" lift springs
extended shocks
towing points
ORA Panhard rods
I need a few more things before i start doing all of them
Radius arms and bushes
extended brake lines
axle breather kit
wheels and tyres.
Hopefully the build will turn out right and well. We shall see

Looking good Phil ... that body needs some dents and scratches in it ... but after you've been out with me, you'll have some!!
Can't wait to see that colour for real
Come on - get the locker in, put on the new boots and come and play

Thanks guys Took long enough haha.
The locker will be getting installed soon then as soon as i get some rubber i will be out .
I'd install the locker this weekend up I'm up in Fort William for the downhill world cup. Can't wait to be out properly again. Hitching a ride in friends just isn't the same. I may even bring Rob along on an adventure when It's done.
