Hey everyone been lurking around the forums for a bit now just gathering knowledge so i figure it's time to show you my 2001 Jimny.

Here it is when I bought it. It's pretty much stock apart from the roof racks I have put on

And here it is with new off road tyres and black rims (205/75/15 Maxxis 743 bravo)

Here it is at a local motorbike track testing out the new tyres

I have joined a local 4WD club, here are some pics from the Driver Awarness Program that I had to take

Some more seasoned members telling me how to tackle the hill.

First actually trip out with the club

Bit of a hard track here

Had 2 other Suzuki's out on the day. This yellow one is pretty kitted up:

End of the day, pumping up the tyres.

Yeah I'm the only Jimny, there's two Vitara's in the club. My location is on the Gold Coast, Australia so there's some good trips to be had in the hinterland as well as some beautiful sand islands close by. Will be doing a 2inch lift soon so that should make my Jimny more capable.

Thanks for the pictures. I also have a Blue Jimny and have been considering the Maxxis Bravo tyres. They look very nice so I might get me some.

Been busy installing a 2" Pro Comp lift

Had a few headaches such as breaking one of the rear lower shock bolts and having to drill it out, luckly I ordered the longer bolts. All and all I'm quiet impressed with myself as it is the biggest thing I have every done on a car mechanically speaking. Still need to install the caster correction bushes, I have to find someone with a press to do it for me.

Hey guys,

Well I think everything has settled a bit now with my 2" lift but I think I made a bad choice with the Procomp 1000 shocks. I'am finding the ride very soft causing the vehicle to be very jumpy as I drive. The main problem is I get a sore back everytime I drive it. I did not have a back problem when I first did the lift as the suspension was still stiff and new.

Anyone had this problem?
Thinking its more the rear end flopping around so looking at changing to some stiffer shocks in the back.

for me the 1000es are the best because they are really soft, but i drive slowly and this is why it's not a problem for me B)
