I've just bought myself a Jimny, it will mostly be used as a normal car and I'm not in to serious off roading but I thought a fun little 4x4 like a suzuki would be great for getting lost down devon lanes and exploring the moors...
I took it for a little trip to dartmoor today....so far so good.....and great fun
I hope to do some work on it myself so I thought joining a forum would be a good place for advice.
Cheers Tony

Skinhead wrote: Hi tony. My tip for you is to fit transfer case and diff breathers and change the oil in them also if your going to/have been driving through big puddles like that
May also be worth buying a set of king pin bearings also... as water and bearings don't mix

Cheers I'll bear the tips in mind if I decide to do any regular off roading....I just saw the ford there and decided to give it a bash (the river ford not an random mondeo with old biddies having a pic nic in it) , it was about a foot deep at its deepest part and was no worries.........even though my girlfriend refused to stay in the car incase I got stuck half way...so I ordered her over the perfectly good bridge next to the ford to take photos
Its a 2004 model with 49000 miles.
Not sure if I'll do any mods....but I may get a tow bar and definitely need roof bars for my kayak

Say goodbye to the rainy day stash!
Oh and yes, silver is the best colour if you can't find a black one!
