Nick's Jimny was created by Goat
After a few play and play days I'm hooked and after a bit more ground clearance.

So I've turned this:

into this:

Big Jimny 3" lift and some 235x75s etc.

Just need to get my 10mm x1mm nuts for the shocks and I'll be able to see how it drives.

Nick

Definitely the rock lobster next. Already taken out a second mortgage to get this far. Still thinking I really need the rear castor corrected radius arms as I've only put the front ones on so far.

Definitely a winch before diff locker.
As someone wrote on this forum a while ago. "A winch gets you out of any situation, a locker gets you out of some situations" .. Or something like that :-)

If you haven't got rear castor correction arms already, get some rear shock relocation brackets or your lower shock mounts wont last 5 minutes.
Nice looking jimny in the best possible colour they can come in ;)

I've got the brackets. If I get the rear castor corrected arms would I need to take these off ?

Yurp! The castor correction arms will rotate the axle to its correct position putting the rear shock mounts back to the correct angle.

Got the nuts for the shocks and put on the front prop spacer and both the front and rear adjustable panhard rods. So all the bits are on now.

I had some rubbing on the front when turning so I've made some small extensions for the bottom 3 bumper mounts to push the bottom out a bit and cable tied it all back on. This seems to have cured the rubbing for now.

Next test will be off road.

Got some pics of the build here. Not as many as I would have liked but wanted to make sure I got it finished. You can see how much longer the springs are.

Overall I raised the drivers door handle by 140mm. I guess the original springs must have sagged a bit.
