Sam_ wrote: on my way to my parents for mothers day today found a great track through some local woods, nice and muddy and quite rutted in places.
and it turns out ORA is situated about 500m away from it! so have to pop in there soon.
Also finished welding up rear towing/recovery eye so i'll get some more photos up tomorrow.
Looking to do some pay and play days at the end of the month beginning of next, as there's 2 places just up the road in Arundel.
So any advise on what to take/do ? apart from myself and my jimny of course!
take a recovery strop & shackles, small shovel, air compessor (so you can reduce the air pressure in the tyres to about 12 psi for offroading and then air them back up for the trip home), bottle of water and a rag to clean the mud off the lights and plates for the trip home, your Mot and insurance if the site wants to see them (some do), decent boots and a sense of adventure!
watch what the others do - specially where there is water to see how deep it is - we always get people at our local pay and play who go charging into a small water area and stop dead in the middle with six inches of water inside their car (usually discos) - you usually find them sitting on the roof and its always fun watching them arguing about who is going to get wet attaching the recovery rope
stand well away from any one using a winch with a steel cable or recovering with a kinetic rope
have fun and remember you can usually out perform most green ovals
and if you get stuck some one will always pull you out

All I know is they stick on the roof with a massive nit of double sided sticky tape. And are very bright at night! When I get on a computer later I'll try and find some more info!

Well got everything except the aircompressor which i'm going to look for now thinking along the lines of a T MAX one as them seem pretty good for the money.
Last time I went to a pay and play day I was about 12 and in a series 11A landrover which was just plan scary!
