not finished but thought I'd share details of progress to date .....
lift-up rear storage base
still to do ...
storage compartment i.e. like a kitchen drawer orgainser
bulkhead storage behind the seats - might put in a cut-out for a 20lt jerry can to sit-in - and build speakers into it - to be decided
made it using 9mm ply - which really isn't up to the job, it's OK but don't see it standing up to much abuse, but I'll be able to use it as a template and will be able to quickly make a more substantial top board replacement, probably using Buffalo board.

looks very neat and tidy, was thinking something similar with maybe lift up bits where the old passenger foot wells would of been....

new mini make-over
MUD MULTINET CARGO NET
£33.30 incl del
wasn't sure what this would be like but finally took a chance and I'm well pleased with it, German quality, strong bit of kit with good fittings.
pretty good fit in the Jimny as pics show - not sure just how effective it'll be against a 30kg dog in a crash
eventually plan to remove the grab handles and fit a metal bar from one side to the other using M8 (or is it M6) machine screws in the holes.
and for securing the shopping, quick and easy top unhook and re-hook at the rear door
happy bunny

Just a quick post to say thanks to Halford for his helpful seat and trim removal pictures.
I fitted rear speakers today and they are a good improvement.
Thanks.

well, I've finally moved out of the dark ages and got myself a smartphone
not as good as an HD-Pro cam but the video's not bad on the cheapy nokia 800 - not stabilized though, modified a dash mount and now ready for Jimny movies.
this is just a tester, up at Cleadon Hills ........
