I have just loads of bits and pieces lay around after the dash swap, suspension swap etc and all the other jobs, where the car is kept is massive but its looks like i could build another Jimny if i had a chassis to put it all on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Time to make some room so I can move this diesel conversion on with out any more shin injuries.

Shin injuries :S is this an ORA bumper then? My other half kicked mine on the kitchen floor

yer I seem to trip over stuff alot, not sure if its me being clumsy or that I leave my crap on the floor or even a mix of both.

Bumper has come from the same stable as most of my other stuff, home made........ very similar to the ORA bumper, winch mounted behind the bumper, lower guard built in rather than separate plate. not sure how the fit is going to be along the bonnet edge and head lights as my bonnet isnt the straightest of things. Still got the ends to finish yet as the KAP arches hard to work to, might just finish the ends similar to the bumper I took off rather than anything fancy.

knock up some new stonger mounts, cut off the originals , flip the radius arm over, bolt the new mounts to the arms, set your caster with roughly your normal load in the vehicle and get welding the mounts in place. 3 lines to describe.........in real life 3 nights worth of headaches.

Toph, awesome build pal.

Just noticed the 2010 dash mod. Did you retro fit this yourself and was it a hard job?

Yes did the dash swap my self, not that hard. Just wear kevlar gloves as there are alot of sharp parts back there.

If any one finds this post and wants to take it on........... you require the 2005> dash carier(metal thing that goes between the A pilliars), 2005> heater box including control rods/cables and some electrical wire to lenghten the wiring for the hazard warning light switch, also the wiring to the fan speed control needs moding. Dont bother with the 2005> dash cluster/speedo (am really good with electronics and this is just hassle so gave up  ).

The bonnet release handle also needs to be self tapped to underneath the dash where the cup holders are, 3 hour job to do the full conversion.
