Hello all,
New member (hopefully some photos attached, apologies if not) I've had my Jimny since November, proved more than capable of getting me to work in the snow (bad timing with the purchase on my part  )
Not a lot done to it so far, painted the rather tatty looking steelies black, added some privacy shades in the back to keep out prying eyes then fitted a roof rack for my windsurf board, apart from that the only other modification has been to the interior smell, due to wetsuits and wet sails it now smells like a seal has died in the back.

Cheers, I had a nose at your roof spots set up, looks good and something I'd be tempted to have a go at if it wasn't for the need to carry a board on the roof.
I'm pleased with the shades, cheaper than the £120 I was quoted for tints and less prone to being ripped/torn by bikes and other stuff that gets thrown in the back.

Hi, welcome to bigjimny. £120 is a good price for window tints. I have a m8 who does this profesionaly along with signwriting, somehow I spend a'lot of time helping out there. He would charge £50-60 for tailgate and £30 for each side window. He will be doing mine once its road legal along with covering my bonnet matt black..

Thanks very much !
I considered mounting my spotties on ball-joint brackets .. that way you can fold them down to make room for anything you wanna strap to your roof!
Looking back, i don't know why i did'nt do that. It makes sense !
Also makes allows you to angle the lights easily.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome folks, really enjoying the site and all the info and pics on peoples' trucks. I'm seeing loads of things that I want for my Jimny and I've discovered I already have something I don't particularly want in the shape of a duff king pin bearing, but I'm ready to have a crack at it thanks to the how to guide on here.
