ive got a slide hammer but thb they dont take much pulling to get out ive done 2 jimnys rear bearing & both came out easy compared to vits ive done a few of them & they take some slide hammering to get out

I remembered you making this comment Gary and after 2 meetings at my club with lots of water I'm in agreement. I've rebuilt both front hubs cleaning and re-greasing everything, had to un-seize both front calipers sliders and replace their boots. New rear shoes and it looks like its done a season of challenges! Surface rust everywhere!
I've got to clean it for the third time as still finding mud pockets!
Oh and my engine bay is covered in mud despite 2 careful sprays with a hose.
I can't stand there being something needing doing on the Jimny, I have to put it right. I think I might have Jimny maintenance OCD and muddy water is playing havoc with it!
Don't know if I'm gonna bother with rear disc conversion as can't keep going through the muddy water I bought it for due to the effects on the rest of the car too!

Just bearings, try starter motors, radiators, alternators.... I avoid the watery stuff at all costs !
