Fitting hubcentric spacers to JB74

Hello,
I’m a fairly new Jimny owner and just registered with the forum so first post here. I’m just after some advice or reassurance that I’m not a complete idiot.

I bought some 30mm hubcentric spacers with a 108.1 centre bore that are meant to fit straight on. But when trying to fit on the front hubs, the inner lip of the spacer hits the vacuum hub assembly. Am I missing something here, I can’t really see anyone having the same issue online. Any ideas why they won’t fit?

The problem appears to be that the vacuum hubs are the same diameter (or close to it) as the locating ring.
Since you need the outside of the flange, which is now the locating ring, to be 108.5mm to locate the wheels, and it can't have zero thickness the inside of the flange has to be smaller. 

I don't see why no-one else has a problem (unless you are the only person to try & fit them with vacuum hubs...) 

If I really wanted to wear the wheel bearings out with spacers I'd get a spare pair of vacuum hubs from eBay and turn them down until they fit inside the flange.

Alternatives

Get thicker spacers so the vacuum hubs fit right inside
Turn the flange off and hope that the spacer has been made properly so you can use wheels that are centred by the studs. (depends on how they were made)
