Tips for saggy seat belt

As you move around the belt slack slowly retracts itself and keeps a degree of tension, then if the tensioner fires in an accident it tightens enough.
The belt can't retract quickly if there is a bit of a twist in it, which is why it is forever getting caught in the door when it shuts.
If I straighten the belt and wait it will slowly pull itself in, which is presumably how it passes MOT: in the notes for 7.1.2 it says
Certainly mine is not noticeably dirty/greasy and I believe that this is how it is supposed to be.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

In all seriousness I think the spring is very weak to make it comfortable to wear and stop it pressing on you.facade got it just right.
My 42 year old gen 2 jimny from 1984 spins the belt back just fine so it is not that it is difficult to make one that works...

Some types of retracting belt might need manual help before they retract. If a temporary device is fitted to prevent retraction, you can remove it.
