Anyone know more about the different clutch cable versions?
Ordered a jimnybits aftermarket cable 23710-81AA1 with the rubber damper on the end thinking it would be a compatible replacement for my current cable 23710-81AA0 with the all metal end but found it was too long and couldn't disengage the clutch at max adjustment and had a lot of pedal free play.
Compared the two and found the aftermarket one has a longer coupling at the pedal end, long enough that it doesn't make contact with the hook on the pedal until it has been depressed even at max adjustment.
anyone know if this is a difference between the two versions or just a case of a poor quality aftermarket cable?
