Hi everyone,I own a Suzuki Jimny JB33 with the G13BB 1.3 engine.I’ve recently noticed a ticking noise when the engine is cold. The sound is clearly audible at idle right after startup, but after driving for about 5–10 minutes and once the engine warms up, the noise reduces significantly.
Has anyone experienced something similar with the G13BB?Is this common with age, or should I be concerned?Thanks in advance!
How cold?
Mine is ok as long as it is above zero but minus sets off alot of noise.
Long since the last Oil change?
Bad or wrong oil, or a bad or small Oil filter Could make the time it take to get up to working temp longer.
I would first change the Oil and filter. See spec in the wiki section.
To find where noise come from a car stethoscope is excellent.
Could also use a piece of wood to press on to engine parts and listen to the other End of it.
