Hi all,

after a lengthy search I have now got myself a fantstic low mileage Jimny.

One thing I'd like to add is a tow bar for a bike rack and to tow a small trailer from time to time.

Is there a particular brand/place to buy one that people recommend?

The spare wheel is in place so I'd prefer the type that protrude out beyond. I only need electrics for lights obviously.

I'll be fitting it myself.

If you're not doing serious work then going second hand makes perfect sense otherwise I can recommend towtrust for new.

I bought a UR (off eBay) for mine. A detachable swan neck tow bar with electrics at a good price, but that was 6 years ago.

It was well made and easy to fit (took the bumper off, about a morning), possibly not in the same class as towtrust or witter but perfectly adequate to tow a small to medium trailer. It towed my 500Kg boat without a problem.

That's great thanks for all of the suggetions.

Tow Trust look like a good option if I can't find a decent second hand one.

The Archaic ones look fancy but probably unnecessary for my usage.
