I’m after a little advice if possible. Was checking the oil on my 2014 Jimny today and noticed it smells a bit like petrol. Part of me thinks this is semi-normal, the other part of me wants to be sure there isn’t something sinister going on.
I changed the oil in August 2025, roughly 4000 miles ago.
Is this fairly normal or should I be getting it investigated. My commute is relatively short however the vehicle does spend decent time at running temp and at the weekend I drive long distances.
