I did it with a little screwdriver (A pick would have been better, but they are in the garage)
There must be secret techniques for undoing these connectors, like I said I'm forever breaking them, or at least the securing mechanism, because I can never get them to unlatch, and pretty much every one is different.
I wonder if you are supposed to use a tool similar to pliers that squeezes the flat sides together and the distortion of the plastic bows the tang outwards to release it, then you flick the tool down to part the connector.
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Thanks,To be honest, I can't remember without going and unwrapping it? Sometimes on the smaller connectors though, I do use a small screwdriver to push the tab in, as the small ones don't really give enough room to get your nail in far enough.

You can get these, I might invest in a pair as my fingers aren't as nimble as they used to be.

Ah!
I have a vague recollection of buying something like that from eBay the last time I broke some connectors!
I will have to look in the garage, and in the drawer in the shed where I keep The Really Useful Tools That I Bought On A Whim. (Like that gadget with the ACME thread for cleaning out the guttering- it screws onto the drain rods that I don't actually have..)

I've never charged the battery on my Gen4. Is this a common issue or something specific to your car?

The locking clip is the white upside down "T". Push hard on the new bottom and pull it downwards. It may help to warm the clip with a hair dryer.
Many thanks to Soeley and Facade.

I suspect specific to his car, or his usage pattern.
My wife & I have two Gen4s, her car is a 2021 (picked up from the dealership in Jan 21) and had the battery replaced in 2023, my car is a 2024 (picked up in July 24), my wife's car is used on weekends only, mine is daily driven, neither has ever had an external charger connected.
