New to Jimnys and new for the form but I have been working on a G13BB to G16B swap on my 00 Jimny, all seems to be done and I have the engine running in the car but what I am concerned about is the sump, the Vitara sump contacts the front axel.
Not the end of the world the Jimny sump fits perfect but the pickup is difrent now I can make the Jimny pickup fit the Vitara engine but my concern is that the Jimny pickup is a smaller diamater and the Vitara engine takes 4.2ltr of oil while the Jimny engine takes 3.7.
My question is what are people doing I don't want to overfill the engine and wash the pistons but I also don't want the bigger vitara engine to be starved of oil if I am revving it hard at all and with that will the smaller diamater pickup restrict oil flow making the oil capacity issue worse.
Any opinions and input from anyone running the G16 is welcome!
