Where to get a load sensing valve bleed screw?

Hi, as the title suggests, I'm looking for a bleed screw for the load sensing proportioning valve over the rear axle. I can find parts diagrams that show the LSPV, but they don't list the bleed screw separately.  I don't think the year or spec matters but it's a 2004 Jimny.

Replacement valves seem to come with them included, but I'm not keen on buying a £200 proportioning valve for a £3 bleed screw. So where can I get a replacement? Is it the same as one of the screws for the wheels? Thanks.

It will probably be a standard 8mm or 10mm bleed nipple

Unfortunately not. It's different from both of the wheel screws. I managed to buy a used one from someone breaking a Jimny but it's not in brilliant shape either.

I am kind of amazed that there's zero information about these and no convenient source of replacements out there, I can't be the first person who's ever rounded one off.

Can you measure the one you have?

Your picture I assume shows shiny new ones in 10x1.0 and 8x1.25, the one on the left could be 7x1.0 -  it is a less common bleed screw thread, often used on motorcycles though.

6x1.0 is used somewhere I've messed with, could be motorcycles or maybe mountain bikes.  My Proper Mini had tiny nipples on the rear, 1/4 AF, they could have been 6x1.0, or 1/4 x 28, it has been about 40 years now!

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I’ve bought a 2006 jimny and it’s got a M16A engine in it and I can’t get it to run right it’s got the original M13A ECU in it and I’ve read you can run that ECU but I’ve taken it to an Electrician who works in performance vehicles and he is saying the M16A ECU is different to the M13A and it can’t be run the car runs and drives but it has a timing knock I’ve replaced both o2 sensors the cam actuator spocker and valve relay throttle position sensor as well head gasket timing chain just asking if anyone here has done the  engine swap and can give me any advise thanks

I agree with @facade, this is going to be a standard screw.  Measure thread diameter, pitch, and length, and then go to your favorite hardware supplier or fire up google.  Or take it into a good bearing shop and have them do the measurement and lookup.  You don't even need to tell them what the screw came off of.

From years rebuilding autos of various makes: absolutely nobody cuts their own custom screws.  Don't worry, a cheap replacement is out there.
