Pulling to the left and compensated by steering to the right is Lambert’s roundabout scenario, it will wear the outer tyre on the outside edge.
There are a number of things cause a vehicle to steer off to one side, all of them appear to have already been mentioned and I suspect the same as others something is bent on one of the front wheels, possibly after an impact on the near side.
One other thought if the wrong springs were put on the front and it has an uneven ride height (lean) that might cause the same problem.
If something is bent, it most likely happened with a previous owner and might have been straightened and the tracking adjusted so it appears to be ok on a normal alignment jig.
If it’s only slightly pulling it might be that you just live with it and do tyre rotation as the cost of finding/fixing might be more than the tyre wear cost.
What’s it like under medium to heavy braking or acceleration,is the pulling to the left significantly worse?

Thanks all , Yep tyre pressures are correct...I haven't noticed any play in the bushes etc ...but I didn't look at a bent axle tube.... Bearing in mind the roads it navigates everyday , which require 4wd at this time of year aswell as some pot holes on the unadopted road ..
That said it must've been like it when we bought it as the spare is unused by us but as said a replicate of the front ... So I will check it when I can .. but apply the advice of Motacilla until then !

Our Jim has 9000km on it and was all over the road. It has never had a wack to the front end, but its scrubbing the outside of both front tyres. I took it to a reputable tyre place for an alignment yesterday. The guy at the counter tells me that he is pretty sure that a wheel alignment is no longer done at pre delivery. He said that he has no proof but there are a lot of new cars (under 10000km) with scrubbed out front tyres and bad alignments . This is rural Australia and maybe different in other places. Food for thought though.

Both front tyres with scrubbed outside edge is usually either too much camber or too much toe in.
The JB74 automatically finds the straight ahead position using the power steering, so your mechanic is sort of right, but this won’t correct camber or toe in.
