Does anyone know how to remove the level adjuster motors from the Jimny headlights??
The instructions with the headlight are unreadable, they have been photocopied too many times and the pictures are simply black
The first two pictures show the motor in place on the old headlamps
This shows the new headlamp perhaps with either a blanking plug or part of the mechanism in place??

Does the blanking plug on the new headlight come out or is that stuck fast also?
Can you see anything from the bulb aperture with small inspection mirror or endoscope?
Failing that have you tried twisting the motor body to see if it is held in on a bayonet fixing?

Thanks, that has moved things along a bit. Having soaked them in releasing fluid the whole motor case can be turned 1/4 turn and then springs up (out) about 8mm. This is the same for the "blanking plug" - but then none of them come out any further. At this point the headlamp bulb mounting ring moves about if you wobble the motor so there is some further "release" needed

Looking at step 2, does an 8mm socket fit the Hex on the blanking cap?
