Clutch cable adjustment was created by nick18
Hello to the community! I am confused with the clutch cable adjustment. I read many different things so my mind is a mess right now. How it should be adjusted?
I read about the 1" play of the pedal and i would say that mine has more than this from the day i bought the car without any problem.
Now i adjusted the screw almost 2mm before i feel the clutch lever that is touching the "moving" parts inside. It feels that the pedal engages very low without any problem. Is it ok like that?
Since the cable is not loose, the adjustment of the screw is just "how loose" you want your clutch pedal?

The adjustment is at the other end, the. Black plastic knurled knob on the end of the cable at the gearbox

This plastc knob is the one i adjusted like this. And if i remove plastic cover that reveals the other end attached to the clutch fork, the cable is tight enough not to get out of its place and at the same time a little bit loose. I made it to hold the fork with a small free play, let's say 2mm before it feels to need the pressure to move the clutch plate. It should be more tight? Without any free play?
