Passenger Window Regulator Replacement

Proved that the passenger motor is not working, got a replacement which when plugged in works, so now it's just the simple task of replacing it!!

Any pearls of wisdom, I undid the 6 bolts which allowed the regulator to turn to give access to the rear screw, currently can't undo it, suspect it's JIS & not Philips or Pozidrive, but how do you get to the one at the other end?

Bad form to reply to their own post, but just in case somebody else comes across the same problem here is what I had to do. I undid the 6 retaining bolts as above, I could not get the rear screw to undo it started to round, also culdn't get any grips on it, so using a 7mm flat bottom drill from screwfix I started to drill the head quite soft hence why it started to round. Then as the head came off it was easy to then unscrew the remainder of the bolt out.

This then left the front bolt, I managed to manipulate the window until I could see the screw through a hole, I then tried & failed to unscrew, so drilled head off again, I used a strap to hold the window up as I did this.

It was then a matter of repeating the process backwards although now I have done it once I would fasten the motor in first then lower it to the bottom to make it all a lot easier. But it's one of those Catch 22 situations, if you could get the motor into the easy position you probably won't be wanting to change the motor in the first place, or like mine you it was broken so you can't get it into the right position.

I had the intense displeasure of doing this job after my regulator came off a runner. After getting everything out (and rounding a bolt, needing to drill it out...) I realised I could just force it back on the runner and re-use my existing regulator.

Lol. Yeah, really not a fun job, definitely want some gloves so you don't knick your hands on anything metal.
