Front disc conversion - caliper query

Front disc conversion - caliper query was created by RTA92
I have a vented front disc conversion on a 2005 Jimny and the LH (nearside) caliper has seized. It looks like the conversion kit sold by BigJimny. Can anyone give me details of which caliper I need to replace it or whether there is a refurb kit available.

I think you have messaged me as well, is it actually a Dutton you have?
If so, can I ask what engine you have in it? I have not sold a vented disk system specifically for a Dutton so it might not be mine and we need to identify the caliper you have as I can get them but mine could be different

Hi Martin, it is on the Dutton. The engine is the M13A. The conversion was on the donor vehicle reg number P666 ERK. I can send you some photos of the caliper tomorrow if that would help identification.

I have on my 2005 Jimny, wide calipers with brackets and vented discs. The discs are from a 1.5 diesel jimny as the ABS models have 108 center hole. (107.8mm) My calipers and brackets are from a Vitara 1995-ish lwb 1.6 petrol but the diesel jimny calipers might also fit. The vitara calipers do have the bleed valve on the "wrong" place so creative bleed procedure must be done. All parts bought new and standard Suzuki parts. Not a kit so to say but standard parts from different vehicles all bolt-on a standard Jimny. I too had a seized caliper wich was serviced and works for now, but I will try the diesel jimny calipers later this year if i can find any hints on weather they will fit or not.

I have the 107mm vented discs. The piston on the caliper is 53mm diameter. I have attached some photos of what is on the car at present. I have to take the car for an IVA test on the 26th so I need to get my hands on some new calipers asap (I will do both L and R)
If they are Vitara calipers does anyone have a part number?
PS: Think I've found the part number and have ordered the caliper. Will check that it fits tomorrow.

No ABS on your 2005 donor car?
From the look of it as your bleed valve is not on top in this mounting position, they well might be Vitara calipers.
Something like these, I just made the choice of the correct car and by the look of it they might be the ones.

Not sure as there is differneces between markets and my knowledge is from Norway.
Could be a game of hit and miss but then again buying parts on line most times is and especially using autodoc and similar shops.
Edit: I must say that one should move with great caution using brake parts from the "wrong" car and this must not at all be used as a recommendation from me. So I will strongly recommend that if someone starts fiddling with the brakes, you must be sure about what you do and buy quality parts and check and check again that what you do is legal in your country.

Yes it is from the Vitara and the one I have ordered has the same dimensions as your suggestion. I'll check that it fits tomorrow. Many thanks for your input.
