Stumbled across this post as my Jimny O2 has the exact problem with the exact reply from the MOT garage. It has the death wobble when going over 45mph so most likely needed a kingpin change. Question is to confirm I’ll have to remove to find the issue before ordering the part?
Replacing the driveshaft seal and kingpin bearings to fix steering wobble and oil leaking from the swivel is a routine job on a Jimny and familiar to almost all Jimny owners. You will need a driveshaft seal (Suzuki part number 0928326016) and a pair of 30302 taper roller bearings. You may also wish to change the bigger swivel dust seal (the one you can see and the dealer thinks is the root cause of the problem) although it isn't strictly necessary. It is just a dust seal and even when new they aren't very effective.
