You might also want to consider what you are wanting from the lift kit and your intended use. Ultimately this will play a huge role on the appropriateness of a particular setup or not.

I have fitted the 40mm OME kit. Not sure what the rear brake line bracket mod is?, but I went for extended lines all round from Jimnybits.

From my understanding at the beginning OME said rear extended brake lines were not required, then I think they changed there mind and now advise fitting them.

These are the Brake Lines

Also, not wanting to put you off, but I did have trouble with one brake pipe union thread. See  HERE  for problem and solution.

Have a look at my thread for my  Fitting of the lift kit

Thread is M10 x 1mm pitch.

Well i finally got my jimny and as it stands happy with the existing hight also when i looked underneath as to where everything has to be replaced,im thinking this is not a 5 minute job and yes all the videos i viewed were helpful and make it look so easy, off course its not and time is involved ,so at this stage i may not going ahead with the lift but would still like some advise on how to make the car firmer without a lift would this mean that only the springs would have to be changed for a firmer spring, advise please ??

Leave the springs alone and instead look at either trailmaster sport dampers in 0 to 20mm height or avo adjustable dampers again in standard height. I have the trailmaster on my Dreadnaught as I do a Lot of towing so the additional ride control is especially welcome. However if I were not towing I really would be after a softer suspension to allow articulation off road hence the adjustable damper idea.
