OK so I did some work on this.
I started with Martin's pin-out:
Pin 16 - 12v
Pin 6 - CAN
Pin 14 - CAN
Pin 4 - Ground
Pin 5 - Ground.
Which led to me this site , where it looks like that pin-out is used by ISO 15765-4/SAE J2480 (CAN) protocol.
That may or may not be accurate, but I decided to set off and look for an OBD2 unit that is capable of that protocol.
I couldn't find anything on the Autool X60 that indicated it was compatible with the ISO 15765-4 protocol. But I did find this unit , at twice the price of the Autool which specifies that protocol.
I ordered, plugged in and it worked straight off the bat. Note: I have a JB74W in Hong Kong.
I do like having a digital speedo for my aging eyes! No idea why Suzuki missed that out of the dashboard display.

Excellent work Twisticles!! I'll be ordering one of those.
I wonder if the Torque Pro app is not compatible with ISO 15765-4 either?

Also, I bought one of these too , which is just a digital display reflected up to the windscreen. I didnt use the included plastic that you're supposed to stick where it reflects, so I get a bit of ghosting where it reflects on both the inside and outside surfaces of the windscreen. But I can live with that to have the speed so clearly in my peripheral vision.
Great little gadget for $12!

TorquePro with a Veepeak b/tooth connected fine on JB74W, looking for a battery voltage meter PID as it is not indicating?
