Engine oil on transmission housing - where from?

Hi, I added UV dye to the oil - therefore the oil is greenish..
Anyways, we found out that the leak was probably from the camshaft o ring which dried over time.
5 minutes later with a new o ring fitted and some degreaser to clean the bell housing and I think we are OK now.

Great find....
UV glowing dye....
I use that to locate leaks in air conditioning, but never tried using that with an engine oil leak.

I’m planning to replace the oil soon so I thought it won’t harm to add 20cc for 500km. Finger crossed.
