Sorry initially posred in wrong section
Hi all
As per title went to test 4WD ready for any bad weather put lever to 4H and no green dash light at all
Jimny is 2001 bog standard no mods 4WD worked fine couple of months ago.
Went through the fault finding procedure. The PDF
1. Shorted connector to 4WD swithch as suggested - no light
2. Checked switch wiring and have 11v at connector
3. Fuse is OK
Cannot hear hubs engaging so possible 4WD controller failed?
Is this the black box up behind the fuse box?
Is there anyway of testing it?
Any idea of cost of replacement?
If I go to manual hubs will the 4WD system still work if the 4WD controller s failed, presume I just would not get green light on dash.
Thanks for any advice
Cheers
Ray
