Line with oil on is probably the power steering line. There's a pressure and return from the pump/reservoir on the l/h side of the engine to the steering box on the r/h chassis rail. When mine was leaking in that general area it turned out to be the crank seal. You really need to ID the fluid to help narrow down the leak. Gear oil, engine oil and ps fluid are all very different from each other in smell and feel.

well i can go in deep puddles great !
I'm really no expert when it comes to oil ( or general spannering ) but I'm pretty sure its not gear oil. can't see any oil above where the corner of that pipe is in pic but its hard to tell . guess i will try and have a poke around over the weekend if not off to the garage to have my pants pulled down lol

I've never been able to identify oils especially when they have dribbled down past all the dirt and muck. My only way is to put paper under the car to see where the drip is ending up. And to make it worse antifreeze fools me too........hopeless aren't I.

right had a look its defiantly power steering fluid its now below minimum , and turning the wheel makes a horrible noise !
can't get my fat head right in there but it seems theres only fluid on that corner in the first pic ,nothing above but theres no joint there or obvious leaking point ?
I'm going to get some fluid and top it up just to see if the noise stops . anyone got a rough idea what recon power steering unit will run me ?
