I use the comma stuff and which I think is the same spec as you have there. If you click on the link below and download the spec sheet you can compare the viscosity.

Thanks, Jim,,, But I was wondering if you agree if they can be used in the Diffs too. Because it says full drive train, Which I believe means the diffs too. As they don't have sulfur I suspect they are GL-4 oils and not GL-5 with sulfur.

I can't see it being a problem Tony I think most jimnys get fed whichever oil the mechanic has in bulk. as you say best to use the correct gl4 in the transmission which isn't an issue in the diffs.

Well Jim and Gus,,, I'm settling on GL-4 75w90 for the gearbox oil and transfer box because I can't obtain GL-4 75w-80.
And, GL-5 80w-90 For the diff's as that's available here too.

Thank's for all the help, you're gents.

Tony.

Hello all, Finally done all the gear oils. Had no problems at all, except for the following.
Find the oils in Bulgaria, took a couple weeks researching. Didn't have a 10mm square drive the one I had turned out to be 8 mm sq drive. So, cut and filed a 14 mm alan-key down to 10 mm sq. Fitted a treat.
One other problem was only 30 mm space between the transmission filler plug and the panel tunnel, ended up cutting and filing down a 90 -degree alan-key, only problem couldn't torque the thing up, but being only 17 lbs or so I took a guess at hand tightening.
No leaks but will keep a look out over the next few days.

If you can't get hold of one in the back of beyond where you live (!!), let me know and I'll send you one out. Thanks for that kind gesture GUS.

Ohhh, and the noise has disappeared, only the wife whining now.

Cheers for the help.
Tony.

That's great news Tony feels good knowing it will keep your truck running smoothly. I shouldn't worry about the filler plug. Although its a bit small and can churn up the soft filler plugs, a 3/8 ratchet will fit.
