Gus and Jim, Thanks indeed... I take it we are all happy, mine is a jlx vvt model. In which case, I'll go ahead and get the oils recommended. Thanks for all the advice and I'll keep you posted on my success or failure. I do have a 10mm square drive and an 18" cracker bar, and I'll take care cleaning out the drive holes. Just need to find a Bulgarian supplier for the oils, Easy said than done, I can assure you of that.
Many thanks, take care!
Tony.

Well Jim,,, Let's hope the oil changes does the trick first, fingers crossed... Mine has only done 37,400 miles, but in that time both front kingpin bearings have failed and been replaced. These are common faults too,,, so is the rust which is everywhere, why did I buy one!!!!!!
Seriously, though, at what mileage does the gear bearings normally give way? I would have thought after 100,000 miles but it's only a guess.
If the whining persists after the oil change, I'll look into it further.
Cheers..

Below is a gear oil which is supplied in Bulgaria, which is easily available to me. From reading the spec it looks like I could use them for the whole lot, transfer, diffs and gears. Using the right grades of course. What do you think? Has anyone used these with success? As far as I understand the oil doesn't contain sulfur, but apparently still okay for the diff's...
