Whereabouts are you and what market was your Jimny built for? EOBD/OBD2 is only added for markets that legislate it, its limited in data and generally slower than OBD1.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Is that a bluetooth version??

I have a bluetooth one, that
1) will not, never ever work with my iphone, something to do with Apple not implementing bluetooth properly.
2) will connect to my Android tablet, but won't connect to any of the 3 cars I tried it in.

The £12 maxiscan ms309 copies work fine in all my cars to read & clear codes.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Bluetooth ones do tend to be a bit dodgy. I'd invest in a USB one. You can get them for less than a tenner from gearbest.com but they do take a while to come.

I got this one and works with my Jimny 2008, I've tried reading fault codes, also works with father's Volkswagen, I used android Torque app, I had some problems with compatibility, so sometimes it is good to try it on more smartphones.
