My 1.6 engine was making a loud tapping noise which i suspected which was tappets. I adjusted them to the set measurements. Since then the tapping noise is still there and quite annoying
What do you guys think it could be ? Or shall i just leave it ?

A little end bearing can sound like a rattling tappit when they start letting go. You need some sort of stethoscope to listen whether the noise is up top or farther down.

Hi Aspinall
Check the idler bearing on the drive belts in the front of the motor - it can make a ticking noise if nearing the end of its
Service life ..... Particularly if it's running dry ( no grease left)
