Clutch adjustment was created by rexthecat
Driving home from some really fun greenlaning today my clutch started to slip, was slipping a bit early on but got really bad just a couple of miles from home, just about made it. It's not the first time it's happened, got it adjusted last time, cable was too tight.

Looked up how to adjust it when I got back.

Is it just the plastic adjuster on the gear box??

Ha looks so easy, propper stress trying to drive it through london! Anyone know why the cable would get tight, I thought they get loose, more play as the clutch wears?

Atleast looks like an easy fix though unless it's seized

Cheers

The adjustment is done on the end of the cable where it attaches to the clutch fork under the plastic cover on the bottom of the gearbox.

There is a thread but it maybe difficult to turn if old.

I put a new cable on mine and it was so much nicer.

No it gets tighter as clutch wears so you need to loosen it.

Yup cheers, looks simple enough to adjust, how do you know how much to adjust, from what I've put together from youtube seems to be slacken it right off then hand tighten the cable till you feel the resistance, try the cluch a c couple of times readjust if there's any more play. Sound bout right?
