Has anyone changed the valve stem oil seals on their Jimny.
Mines smoking on start up but its not the PCV valve.
Just wondering if its something i can do myself?
Its a 1998 model.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration
I poured this in and it worked.

I have this problem on a 1999. Are the seals suitable for changing with the head on.

Not directly related to the Jimny engine, but I have been told that you can do it so long as you can hold the valve up. Reported methods are TDC the cylinder with string in the bore, or adapted plug to allow you to use compressed air to hold it closed.
Do they work?
I don't know, I have always opted to remove the head and give it a full service while it is off. This way my new seals are working with a decoked head, lapped valves and new head gasket. Its only a few more bolts once the cam / rocker is out of the way.
You could try and if it goes wrong you have a need to remove the head.
