Just had a look on the thread I posted on when I did my crank sensor and it says I undid the top 2 bolts.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I could not get that allen bolt to move on mine either  and using a prybar to rotate the alternator needed so much force I really felt that the alloy casing was about to shatter.
To cut a long story short, I ended up removing the radiator, then unbolting the alternator support bracket from the engine to take the whole lot into the garage where it came undone once I got proper tools to it.
Can't remember why moles wouldn't clamp on in situ with the radiator out, but if they would have I wouldn't have taken the whole bracket off  With the radiator out I was able to get a good fitting hex key socket in the bolt, and use enough force to simply make the hexagon hole perfectly round without anything else happening
The other end of the bolt is into a welded on nut on the back of the bracket, so even though you can get a socket to it, you can't turn anything.
