Panhard rods's effect on steering. was created by macguyverjimny
Hi guys,
I would like to know if the incorrect length panhard rod can effect the stability and stearing of the jimny?
I think the front and rear axles might be a bit off centre,
Neather of the springs catches on the chassis, but still,
So in other words, if the rear axle is a bit more to the left or right than the front axle or vice versa, can this effect the stearing and stability when driving in a straight line, ?
Sometimes on road the jimny when driving in a straight road i can feel the can sometimes feel a bit loose on the road ,the jimny will just suddenly lean to a side for a small peroid of time, can this be the panhard or rather the caster?
I would love to get some replies , i know the problem seems very vague, There might be someone with a lottle experience on this,
Thank you.

Thank you,
Is there a way to measure how close to centre my axles are? Other than looking at it with the eye?
I have caster correction bushes i know its not 100% sufficient but it corrects it a little right!?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks for the reply

The rear axles is about 10mm off centre to the left, it is a right hand drive,
So the front one differ n further 3.5 mm from the rear one also to the left,
So if i draw a centre line in the middle of the two chassis beams, then the front is about 13,5mm to the left and the rear about 10mm to the left,
If these are correct would i experience a difference in the handling /stability of my car?
Thank you.
