That's progress!! With a lever you know you have moved it. With a button you need a light to know! lol
But I will admit for normal road use with the odd bit of snow the push buttons make it more user friendly! Off road probably the older levers are more reliable??

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

Yep, there's a place for both types. In the Amazon everything was push button and the suspension adjuster was a favourite toy - and very handy in the desert. Oh happy days. :)

But I do like the feel of a good old mechanical lever with a reassuring clonk (Defender) - but in the case of the Jimny it's more of a loud click.

It's only the models with electronic vacuum hubs that have the 4-l light I think and you can change from 2-4H at any speed upto 60mph providing the wheels are straight ahead position and you don't speed up or brake(I found a card in a jimny at work that had all this info on);)

Mine has this info printed in 4 languages on the sun-visor.
You have to be stationary in order to insert 4L !
