Immobiliser issue - How to reset? was created by Jimmy Mc
Hi guys,

I opened the car as usual last night, turned the key in the ignition until it was on, at this point the CEL and Immobiliser lights are lit. Instead of starting the car I sat there on the phone for a few minutes.

During this time the CEL and Immobiliser lights went out and the car wouldn't start. It was turning over fine, but no firing.

I've tried locking, unlocking etc but now those two lights don't appear at all when I turn ignition on and the car is still immobilised.

Does anyone know how to reset the immobiliser? Is there a funky dance my fingers have to do on the key fob buttons in conjunction with doors opening/closing etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm stuck.

Thanks

James

Hi there,

I tried disconnecting the battery with the key in the off position and reconnecting and it didn't work. CEL and immobiliser light still fail to come on when turning ignition on :(
