Hi hope somebody could help me, when I start my jimny I get a strange noise from the middle of the dash area, it's a metalicy grinding noise and lasts for about 2 seconds. Does anyone know what this could be?
My Jimny makes a noise as you move off for the first time… it kicks in at about 5mph and sounds like an electronic valve opening wouldn’t call it a grinding noise… more of a hum… I have always assumed it’s the vacuum system or the ABS initialising. Anybody?
The transfer box chain is said to make a machine gun like noise if its slipping.
It happens as soon as I stop turning the key, so not even moving. Looked through google and it would appear other makes/models do this when it is cold?
Hmmmm, sound like nothing to worry about then, did a test and took it for a run to get it up to temperature, came back turned off the car, restarted and it did not do it. Must be a cold thing lol! Thanks for your help guys.
