Well if its dripping then you should start to think about sorting it as oil leaks only get worse its quite a job stripping chain cases off but i can only make out thats where its coming from so maybe worth getting checked out.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
Mine weeps oil out of there, but not enough to drip on the floor (so the sump pan is as rusty as old iron, and likely to start leaking any minute :evil: )
If you are getting more oil out, I'd check the breather pipes at the top of the engine aren't gunged up.. The one nearest the gearbox connects to the PCV valve, the white plastic thing plugged in the cam cover, this should pass air in one direction only, and rattle when you shake it. If it doesn't, get a new one as they cause idling problems.
To treat the leak, the front of the engine has to come off, quite a big job for a small leak.

The breather pipes are okay and the plug rattles like it should, it ticks over fine too.
