It's not leaking badly, so do you think it's something to worry about if it is the chain case seal?

Nah if there no fresh oil running down and dripping i wouldnt worry about it tbh it looks like it just misting anyway, i would just go to a motor factors or halfrauds and get a spray can off brake cleaner clean it off n just keep an eye on it.
